Some photos from the day...

T Rex insisted on helping - here he is helping Nan. I am checking the vanilla. My niece recently reminded me of the alcohol content. Yep - 35% alcohol! Indeed, we are a happy bunch here!

Auntie J giving T Rex a little help with some cookie stars. He proudly made three lovely stars.

My sis and mom putting together some of the cookie treat plates.

Works in progress...
The final yield - 10 hours later:
These will forever be known as the "infamous" chocolate cake balls. Why? Well, a friend emailed me the recipe and when I accessed the recipe I was the lucky recipient of a computer virus. T Rex Dad is reloading and reformatting my laptop as I type.
- 4 dozen frosted sugar cookies
- 5 dozen biscochitos
- 7 dozen chocolate chip cookies
Biscochitos and chocolate chip cookies
- 3 dozen chocolate dipped pretzels
- 4 batches of fudge
Making fudge with me sis - just before the candy thermometer burned my hand. T Rex Dad put "liquid band-aid" on it - wouldn't even know it even happened. Kind of nice having someone else providing nursing care around here.
- 3 sore backs
- 1 VERY happy T Rex!!!

Playing with cousin Dede.

Kisses for cousin.

Relaxation after all the hard work - everyone sat and "enjoyed" Elmo together. That tells you how tired we were!
Do you do holiday baking in your household? What is it like?

Wowie! What a yield! They all look delicious!
Wow! That's amazing! You are all 3 Wonder Women!
That is so much work but so cool. Sorry about that computer virus, I am sure that was frustrating.
For years I have wanted to bake lots of treats and run around delivering them one evening but have never found the time. This year I really don't have the time.
My Goodness...your lucky neighbors!
I am totally impressed with the variety of treats.
How fun to see your mom in those pictures. I sure do miss her!
Merry Christmas to you all!
This looks like such a great day! I love this tradition but haven't done this ever. Maybe I'll start with some friends. I love that T Rex was such a helper. We received as a gift from Deaglan (and the daycare) a mason jar filled with the ingredients for chocolate chip cookies. He had painted on the jar and coloured on the card. Our job is to bake the cookies together as a family and take pictures to bring to school (daycare) I will post these for fun.
I honestly can't believe how much baking you did!!!
What a fun day! I just love it! I always think I should bake for teachers and stuff and I just never do. I feel like such a Christmas failure this year... I am visiting today from Jill's Scary Mommy blog. Your son is SO cute. What a sweet little dinosaur!
The computer virus chocolate balls had better be darn good ... and they look like they are!!
Amazing job!! Everything looks great.
That's a lot of cookies. At least the messtivus choc balls looked wonderful!
I'm so hungry now!! You guys are terrific bakers :) Yummy!!!
Merry Christmas!!! Hope you have a wonderful holiday.
I love all the pictures too!
Holy cow, that looks like alot of work!
My ds (not quite 18) was told he couldn't buy essence for me.... yep that 35% is tricky stuff. We love baking cookies and treats here, maybe next year.
