Bird Strike II

Remember last year - the blue bird who flew into the window? Well, it's been happening again, and again and again this year. We've had two causalities which always make me extremely bummed. But we've also had two beautiful birds that did not suffer any ill effects.

Here is the feathered friend I found this weekend:

It took about an hour before she was able to stand again.

This was where she hit on the window.

And this is what the birds are up against.

Poor, dears, hardly seems fair.

Poor things! Although, I have to say, the picture of the feathers on the window made me laugh! Maybe some decals might help? Oh well, survival of the fittest, I suppose

that is a lot of windows! try hanging some sun catchers in some of them... there is also some film you can put on them, I think it is like a sun shade too. and the birds won't think they can fly through. Your bird looks like an female gold finch. Lucky she didn't break her neck! happy WW.

Oh that scares me when birds do that. When I was a child one bird would just knock and knock at my high windows. I guess he wanted to come in my room..

Have a great day.

I'm glad she made it. You have to get some of those stickers to help stop this from happening!

That is a beautiful view.

I hope T-Rex is feeling better. My eyes swelled up like that in 6th grade once it was miserable.

Those windows are definitely attractive to a bird! Glad the little guy was okay.
