December Activities - Part II - Gingerbread House

Just a brief snippet  - we managed to get the gingerbread house done right in time. On Christmas Eve I took over our Wonka kit to my sister's place and her son helped the kids. My sister and I did have to use the hot glue gun to get the main parts of the house to hold together as the frosting was so runny the candy barely stayed on. I think Sister eat more candy than she used for decorating. And what was Wonka thinking putting tiny Nerds candies in for use in decorating- they get everywhere. In the end it came together. Not as nice as some in years past but the kids mostly did it themselves and had a great time with their cousin Dede.
