Summer Break...

What does a part-time family nurse practitioner (FNP) student and full time mom do with her one week off for summer break?

Lots of cleaning and organizing. A few things were put on the back burner this semester and it was time to pay the piper!

One of the more interesting chores - organizing the kids' clothes. Our daughter will be wearing some pretty snazzy T Rex hand-me-downs - blue colors, dinosaurs, rockets, and all.

Before...

After...

Note T Rex Dad's 17 year old Jetta - too sentimental for us to get rid of and it still gets great gas mileage!

The rest, folded and ready for use.

But mostly, I've spent my time doing this...

(Yes, I know about the sling recall - every time I put T Rex Princess in it and I'm out and about, some concerned stranger stops me to ask if I know about the recall. Yes, but my sling is not one involved and with as loud as this girl snores, I would know if she stopped breathing.)

My little guy is so happy to not have to wait for "Mommy finish work". T Rex, your mommy agrees!

Back to school next week but at least it's only a 3 credit class over the entire summer - hopefully a piece of cake. And it should be very interesting - health care policy and finance.

Nice job! Looks fantastic. I love what you did with the glasses and the story about your grandma. What a great generation! I marvel at what they endured and think so many of us (namely me) never could. And did it all with grace and love. Sounds like you have some pretty terrific memories.

WOW!! You accomplish more in one day than some do in a month!

I love the profile shot of you with the sling.

Keep being the great mommy you are!

You crack me up with the sling. I can just see people stopping...

Baby clothes are such a chore to organize. I shared my closet set up a while back that is all set for when the clothes and seasons change.

Bad part is all the ones that my little one out grows will not have tags. The boy will not put something on if it has a tag. I keep meaning to blog about it but haven't found the time.

Hope that class is a piece of cake! I'm sure it will be for you :)

She looks so comfy in the sling. T Rex also looks like a happy driver :)

I get the same comments about the sling...and I'm hauling Waverly on my back in a Beco carrier. They still feel the need to tell me she could un-do the buckles, which are actually this crazy kind of buckle you have to push three things at once to do, but I just smile and say "oh, thanks!" The best way to put it was on thebabywearer.com, a mama said to explain that it's like the Honda recall, it didn't affect Volkswagon or Ford....same thing with slings! Super cute pics of her in the sling!
